PROFILE

A life-long movement artist and teacher, Roberta has been a devoted yogini since her pregnancy, nineteen years ago. Her classes thoughtfully and dynamically combine pranayama, asana and meditation, bringing practitioners closer to the integral richness of yoga as a way of life.

By recognizing everyone's innate capacity to fully engage in yoga, she makes her classes accessible, building a solid structure for practitioners to flourish physically, mentally and emotionally.  Her experience as a dancer, choreographer and teacher as well as her pilates training provide her with a rich foundation to design anatomically safe and harmonious sequences, while her two decades as a college professor and health and well-being studies strengthen her pedagogical style.

Roberta teaches hatha, vinyasa, yin and restorative classes as well as breathwork, meditation and yoga nidra workshops open to the community in English or Spanish. With the goal of fostering the well-being of immigrants and socially marginalized groups, she offers healing yoga workshops addressing the trauma generated by ethnoracial, gender, sexual and socioeconomic violence while building personal and collective resilience.

She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, and is forever grateful to all teachers that have respectfully shared the gift of yoga.
